Well, it is not that much of a secret, but a lot of folks forget that the IC7300 has a built-in voice-keyer. The voice- keyer feature can give you a slight edge in a DX pileup, and if you are running barefoot like I am, you need all the help you can get. You simply record your best audio rendition of your callsign and assign it to a voice macro key.
I recorded a quick but clear call so that I can transmit my 6 letter callsign (WG5ENE) instantly.
Then position your trigger finger over the macro button and fire away as soon as the DX station says “QRZ?”.
It works!
